Next, explore Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Africa, which serves as the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Boumalne

Your 4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Fes starts with a morning departure from your accommodation in Marrakech. You will drive through the High Atlas Mountains, passing traditional Berber villages, enjoying stunning mountain views, and stopping at scenic viewpoints for photo opportunities.
Upon reaching Ait Ben Haddou, you’ll visit the historic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987. This iconic kasbah has featured in several famous films, such as *Gladiator*, *Prince of Persia*, and parts of *Game of Thrones* and *O Clone*.
After lunch, continue your 4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Fes towards the Dades Gorges, passing through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses. Upon arrival at the Dades Gorges, you can explore the famous “monkey toes” rock formations before heading to your accommodation for the night.
Day 2: Boumalne – Todra Gorge – Merzouga
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll drive along the Todra River, surrounded by palm groves and Berber villages, towards the Todra Gorge in Tinghir, one of the most stunning canyons in the world. From there, you’ll head towards the Merzouga desert.
Before reaching the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, your driver/guide will suggest stopping at a traditional Berber shop, where you can take photos wearing Berber clothing for free. You are also welcome to purchase items, such as scarves (which are recommended for the desert), but buying is entirely optional. The main purpose of the shop is to promote Berber culture. If you’re not interested in visiting the shop, just let your driver/guide know, and you can skip it.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a camel ride into the desert to witness the sunset over the dunes and try sandboarding. Your evening will be spent in a luxury desert camp, where you’ll savor a delicious dinner and experience the atmosphere of the Sahara at night.

Day 3: Full day in Sahara

On the third day of our 4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Fes you’ll begin your exploration of the Merzouga desert. A 4×4 SUV will take you to the Berber Nomads living beyond the dunes, where you’ll learn about their unique lifestyle and how they’ve thrived in the desert. You’ll also discover more about their rich culture, visit the small, abandoned village of Mefis, enjoy Gnawa music in the village of Khamlia, and see the Lake of Birds if it’s full.
After lunch, we’ll head to your Riad, where you can check in and enjoy some free time. You may choose to swim or take a walk to the nearby dunes. In the evening, dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay at your Riad. If you prefer, you can opt to spend another night at the desert camp.
Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Ifrane – Fes
On the final day of your 4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Fes we’ll begin our journey to Fes. Along the way, we’ll stop to take in the panoramic views of the Ziz Valley and enjoy lunch in Midelt or at another scenic spot. There’s a chance to spot Barbary apes in the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll also take a break in Ifrane before continuing to Fes.
