Start your Day Morocco itinerary with an 8:30 AM pickup from your Riad in Marrakech. This carefully curated day trip offers a refreshing escape from the city’s bustle, taking you into the crisp, cool air of the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, enjoy the authentic Berber way of life—a serene and timeless culture often considered the heart of “real Morocco” in contrast to the Imperial Cities.
As you journey into the High Atlas, you’ll first pass through the Berber village of Tahanout, located 35 km from Marrakech, home to a Jewish cemetery like many Moroccan villages. Next, you’ll visit the village and mausoleum of Moulay Brahim, a revered Moroccan Sufi saint from the 17th century.
