DAY 1: Marrakech – High Atlas mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Boumalne
Your 3 Days tour From Marrakech to Merzouga begins with an 8:00 AM pick-up from your riad or any location in Marrakesh. We’ll leave the city behind as we travel through the stunning High Atlas mountains, reaching the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass, which stands at an impressive 2,260 meters (7,415 feet) above sea level. Along the way, we will make scenic stops at charming Berber villages.
Next, we’ll visit the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its distinctive Moroccan architecture. This historic fortified village has been the backdrop for several famous films, You’ll have plenty of time to explore this fascinating site.
After a delicious lunch, we’ll continue south along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” towards Dades Valley, passing through Ouarzazate, Skoura, and the beautiful Valley of Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna. Upon arrival in Dades Valley, we’ll take you to see the stunning “monkey fingers” rock formations, if time permits. If not, we’ll visit them the following day.
DAY 2: Boumalne – Tinghir – Merzouga

Afterward, you’ll continue your camel ride to the luxury desert camp, where you’ll be greeted with a cup of refreshing tea and some time to relax. DAY 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Today, we recommend an early wake-up to witness the stunning sunrise from the nearest high dune to the camp. After a delicious breakfast, you can choose to return to Merzouga either on camelback or in a comfortable 4×4 vehicle. From Merzouga, we will begin our journey back to Marrakech, taking a scenic route along the Draa River, Morocco’s longest river, which stretches 1,100 kilometers.
Feel free to ask your driver to stop at any point you’d like for photos or a break. We’ll stop for lunch in Ouarzazate before continuing our drive through the High Atlas Mountains.
